Mekiah is very observant and likes to make sure that everyone follows the rules. Here is a funny story of something he said the other day.
I was getting him ready for bed and we were cleaning up his room before we got his PJs on. I was telling him that his room was very messy and we needed to make it nice and clean. He enjoyed finding messy areas and helping to clean them up. After his room was clean we walked through our bedroom to the bathroom to brush his teeth. As we were walking though our bedroom, Mekiah said, ” Mommy and Daddy’s room is messy too”. “Yes, it is. We will have to clean it up later”, I said. After brushing his teeth, Mekiah ran to give Daddy a kiss goodnight. He ran up to Jim and pointed his finger at him and said very sternly, “Daddy, Your woom is weally messy!” Both Jim and I laughed so hard! I have since picked up all the clothes on our bedroom floor. We do not want to get in trouble again.

First trip to the ER
Mekiah had his first trip the emergengy room on Christmas day, in the evening. He split open his chin on the edge of the bath tub. At the ER they had to wrap him up in a sheet ,like a straight jacket, and it took three of us to hold him down while the doctor put in seven stitches. Mekiah got so mad about being held down that he even spit at the doctor. I was quite shocked but the doctor seemed like it happened all the time and said, ” Oh, he’s a spitter”. It took four people to hold him down to get the stitches taken out. Mekiah is very independent and none of it was his idea. Well, at least we have a Christmas to remember!
Our Little Helpers
Mekiah and his cousin Lynneah like to help us work on our home business. We were trying to stock our bubble mailer cabinet, but they were already full. (not full of mailers though)
Notice the feet sticking out from under one of the cabinet doors.

Out Trip to the Coast
We went to Lincoln City for the weekend. Mekiah was very excited about going to the Beach and getting rocks and shells and seeing the whales in the ocean.
When we got to the beach, Mekiah took two steps on the sand and got out his shovel and started digging.
Mekiah and Daddy built a nice sand castle. Mekiah had fun knocking it down.
We went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Mekiah was a bit overwhelmed but settled down after a while. His favorite things were the jellie fish and the turtles.
Getting close and personal with a turtle.
A cute family photo.
